 Big Dog 60 @ The Ridge |

Anyone going to come race this race? It's at the ridge in Springville,AL. I ran the Jack 50 for the first time last year and it was a fun race. Its May 15th.

I ran the buddy one. But we got second. Me and Jared (JM317) was getting beat by a group that was FAST. One of the guys ran pro class in sorcs I think. I'm sure Jared will correct me if I'm wrong! Lets run it this year in the Iron Man Taylor

I'd love too but i'm way to out of shape now. Already got my team member set yesterday...jfriday. We've raced against each other and we'll get to race together for once. I'm freaking pumped. Trying to talk some other people into setting up some teams but not sure if they will or not.

As far as I know there hasn't been a date set for it yet. But my guess is around halloween since the full name of it is the jackolantern 50.

 I already made the call to a friend that's local to that guy and he said he'll gladly make a door call with a few other friends if I can't work something out in the next few days. I guess it's just luck that I know someone that lives close by.

I was there this weekend and got a copy of the flyer....it says Motorcycles only. I asked one of the guys that works there (he rides quads) and he said No on racing quads, even though he wanted to race them himself.

Taylor is right. They aren't letting quads race. I spoke with some of the guys at the ridge. I know they would have had a huge turn out this year. Tons of guys are mad about it. As far as xc racing in Alabama your out of luck. This is a dirtbike focused state I guess. Mid south xc racing has one race on their season for Perry Mtn in maplesville. You can expect 300 or more quads probably. I race the mid souths whole series but most races are in tn and ky. Seasons almost over so I'm also lookn for some guys to ride with this some. Let me know if you wanna join.

i raced it today on my dirtbike. was pretty fun. Quads could have made it through 90% of the trails, they put a new SUPER tight section that there is NOWAY quads could've made it down. My buddy hit a tree and knocked himself out...literally. But he's fine.
